Should grocery delivery drivers deliver to your door if in a flat?

My mum and Dad are in the Vulnerable group for covid even with the vax, as am I and the Morrisons guys where bloody amazing for my folks before I could move back in and help out, my Mum has sight and hearing problems and my had has heart problems and osteoporosis, she asked the first delivery to put them on the back patio and explained the issues to the driver and he was more than happy to do so.

When I was able to move back in to help them out with the day to day stuff I told him thanks and gave him a card because the guy was over and above for my folks, he pointed out bags with things that needed to go right into the frezzer etc and on more than one occasion asked if they needed any help with anything else like picking up prescriptions etc.

Last Christmas I gave him a Tip outside of work because I know he's not allowed to take them on the job but honestly he's a genuinely nice bloke who helped my parents more than he had to.
