The more people who speed get caught in any situation, the more they will get points on their license and get banned.
Seems to be an effective strategy to me. And stealth detection gets the nobs who cruise around at high speed and brake for the visible cameras.
Your argument mainly seems to be one of thinking the circumstances you are caught in somehow diminish your responsibility because you were less of a risk?
Or if i'm charitable that only visible deterrents actually reduce speeding offense rates, and that the fine, points, bans themselves don't actually have an effect?
Trying to move the speeders around to where it's less dangerous isn't the solution to the safety problem. The solution is to change the behaviour of the reckless drivers, and if they don't change remove their access to the road.
Instead of thinking about the problem as "good speeding" and "bad speeding" (and likely putting yourself in the latter category) you probably need to rethink it in terms of "people who will moderate their selfishness" and "people who will find any excuse for their dodgy judgement who can't be trusted with a vehicle"
I'm also happy to catch a few "good" speeders (cos they chose to take that risk it's on them) to get the bad ones personally, stealth detection is good, there are have been an increasing number of dangerous entitled bellends on the roads in the 22 years i've been driving on them.
And extra revenue from that is a happy side effect, means less likely taxes will go up or services will reduce, and I'm very happy for good and bad speeders alike to pay more. An extra tax you can opt out of by being safer seems fine to me.
And yes, I speed slightly ocaissionaly, and if I get caught I'll pay the fine and own the responsibility for it and not gripe about it because i'm an adult knowingly breaking a safety law.
