Should I take my uni studies in Japan?

Studying in my current home country isn't an option for me, unfortunately. I really don't want to stay here for another 4-5 years when I have to option to go somewhere else.

If I go to Japan, the cost of living/education and everything else wouldn't increase because I'm still a Japanese citizen so I'll probably get the same as local costs in terms of tuition + living with my dad would cut the cost of living in general.

As I mentioned, studying in the UK would cost us a lot even with scholarships and grants and I kind of feel bad because my dad is gonna have to work past retirement to be able to afford it :") So at this point I think I'm just looking for reasons to go to Japan or not rather than UK vs Japan. If the overwhelming majority says no to Japan, that's the only time I'll probably switch to the UK again :")
