Since when does a support thread for /u/dolphins3 constitute removing Scriptural related verses and commentary while leaving comments that affirm bisexuality?

As someone who has just joined this community, I have to say that I was shocked by what happened in that thread.

On a Christianity subforum, a member launches an assault on Christians and God in what seemingly amounts to the end of a weeks-long temper tantrum (which the poster's history will show if you bother to search it). Despite this, he receives an outpouring of support and love from all sides of the christian aisle. Some quote scripture, others try to reason with him concerning his values hierarchy. Not a single person calls him names. Not a single person tells him to go to hell, or calls him a sodomite or anything even remotely approaching "foul" and "vicious abuse."

Anything remotely christian or biblical has -25 comment karma within hours: obviously, atheists rushing in and downvoting anything theological, or in line with christian doctrine.

Then the mod comes in and starts to slash and burn anything remotely "christian" in theological import. Bible verses are slashed. Any kind of support that is not secular is burned off.

Then justification is offered up-- all deleted threads, we are told, contained "vicious abuse." As someone who followed the thread, I could not find a single iota of vicious abuse anywhere. When they are challenged to come up with an example of this "vicious abuse" nothing can be produced.

What is a new member to make of that?

The only determination that any new observer who just joined could rationally make is that bible-believing christianity will be downvoted and modded away, while secular, leftist, liberal theology will be upvoted and protected. The secular atheists run the show.
