Slightly Obsessed With Net Worth

The purpose of my post wasn't "money isn't important". What an uncharitable interpretation. It's a really bad mental habit to interpret people the worst possible way. I was trying to pinpoint exactly when a focus on net worth become an "obsession" like in the title of OP. I've thought about this a lot and concluded the point has to be when focusing on net worth gets in the way of being a good person. The critical insight is there is no minimum amount of money needed to live a good life. I pointed out this is the longest bull market ever, and many here will need thoughts like this when the next bear market happens. It will still suck when it comes and we lose $100k or whatever it is but that is what I was preparing OP for.
