Something funny from r/comics

Show me a path to power. At the moment, in Australia, I can see a path to power for a left-wing social democratic section of Australian Labor. I can't see a path to power for the Communist Party. I truly cannot. I see a role for them, but not in power, because they have no path to it. I don't see a Marxist-prescribed economically deterministic revolution happening in a time frame I can do anything about. So that's strategy.

I appreciate your internationalism and third world perspective but I think it is idealistic. Workers in the first world are not going to smash their own kneecaps for the sake of exploited workers in the third world. The model of the nation state limits my ability to push for certain things, as much as I'd like to, so all I can do for now is speech and solidarity for those being exploited in the third world.

'Good' capitalism is not what I'm advocating. I'm advocating governance and policy that redistributes wealth and restricts attempts to undermine that redistribution, whether intentional or structural. If that requires public ownership, so be it. I take my politics from the most basic leftist principles.

But honestly I have no idea. I'd need a long time and a lot of thought to coherently lay down my political thought. Above all I'd say simply: fuck tendencies and labels, I am who I am.
