To sound literate

Yes this exactly. And some poor souls spent many minutes writing out every word they can think of.

The Facebook page or group that posted this has a new agey sounding name with its photo a face of an attractive white woman. All it’s posts are memes of click baity inspirational and funny sayings. All in English. All designed to promote sharing and commenting and of course liking.

I did a few seconds of scrolling on their page to the info section, then a bit of googling. It was opened in 2017 and sold that same year to a LLC with 4 owners. 2 owners are in Saudi’s Arabia, 1 in Pakistan and 1 in India. Googling the owners produced nothing in English, but they obviously hired someone who speaks enough English to copy and paste the memes. While their Facebook page has no official sponsorship, it seems to exist to drive traffic to their insta pages, where sponsorship is less transparent. This is a young company, perhaps driving up the traffic in order to be sold again for sponsored ads. The owners also appear to own other Indian vlogs and pages.

Companies buy these pages after they’ve been proven to get good numbers, then use them to sell products and data mine through surveys like survey monkey. The better the numbers, the more they sell them for. Business 101. I just wish people understood better what they are interacting with. No human is reading the responses and saying, look at the big brain on brad!
