I know. Ravi Zacharias being a hideous human being instead of a solid apologist really was a gut punch. For someone to feign holiness while sexually assaulting dozens of women in dozens of countries for dozens of years is heinous and to me, the evangelical world has a lot of work to do to prove they aren’t clowns. They all stood behind this guy, from Piper to Billy Graham. I wish I had a recommendation, but my other hero Art Azurdia sleeps with other men’s wives and is still in ministry. Shame on the reformed movement for protecting him like the charismatics protect their abusers. What’s the difference between the two when they both do damage control the same and keep their ministers because they can preach and teach even though they are criminals, literally…my heart has broken so many times from these leaders that the church propped up and approved only to leave us with bitterness and evil in their wake. But I am sure I’m the one who should be chastised for naming names and having thought and feelings. Shame on me.
