SpaceX CEO Elon Musk cites his goal to "make humanity a multi-planet civilization" as one of the reasons he won't quit Trump's Advisory Council. It would mean the "creation of hundreds of thousands of jobs and a more inspiring future for all."

True dat. Game recognise game.

Having people dismiss him as an unmalleable fool is his strategy.

eg. His limited vocabulary is intentional.

The average American reading age is like grade 9 or something equally atrocious. The average person probably does not read as much as people in political circles. This allows him to speak to a larger audience.

I saw this tactic labeled as a fascist tendency a few months ago. The reality is it's a marketing 101 tactic. Lol. It's amazing (and embarrassing as someone who studied Journalism) how so many "journalists" (whose job is essentially communication) have never ready any marketing/sales/influence books.

His limited vocabulary also leads people to think he is stupid. And they underestimate him. They get arrogant. They get lazy. They lose. And they keep falling for it. The oldest trick in the book.

There are some very impressive people on this advisory. Trump actually seems to enjoy a variety of perspectives and dissent as long as it's constructive. That's some good shit if he actually listens to them. We won't know how effective the advisory is for a while but these are all powerful/influential people in their own right so I'm excited to see how it progresses.
