Coconut Oil Made My Yeast Infection Worse!

as someone else said: everyone is different but I had the exact opposite experience

I had a bunch of yeast infections from my IUD when I first got it, and the only thing that helped was coconut oil. My OBGYN actually suggested it to me, it soothed it and eventually upon daily use I haven't had an infection since (4 years now). It was truly a miracle for me. I know this sounds extreme, but it really is one of the products I really can't live without.

here's a study from pubmed about how it fights candida (yeast): link

I use it for lube and I use it on my vagina nearly every day for years and my vagina seems to love it.

If I have forgotten to apply it for a while and I start noticing any dryness/irritation or itchiness I just apply it liberally every day and the symptoms go away.

I see a lot of myths in this thread: coconut oil does not 'grow bacteria,' in fact it is antibacterial and it's an antifungal. If you google 'coconut oil OBGYN' or research it as lube, there are plenty of medical professionals who recommend it. It can help with vaginal dryness, irritation, and even yeast infections (I guess not in all cases).

Everyone's body/vagina is different so it makes sense that we would not all react the same way. But I'm personally very happy I found it!
