(Spoilers extended) GRRM's 1993 outline explains why tWoW is taking so long—and why GoT showrunners had an impossible task

People who wanted 4 more seasons would be the same people who attack it for stretching things out, seriously yes the ending was bad, yes people have a right to be upset, what you don't have the right to do is harass the writers, you could tell they were done, I don't blame them for just ignoring people, they had possibly the most stressful job in TV, that's gonna grind you doen to a point there you hate what you love to do, that's doesn't make you a bad creator it makes you human, I thing D&D wanted to be over and done, they wanted to end the show and move on because they knew if it kept going it would be worse, if new people took over it would be worse, if they tried to cram everything in it would be convluted, long and boring for most people who watched it, they were stuck between a rock and crazy fans and they just did what they could, could it have been done better if they had more time yes, but unfortunately when it comes to shows like GOT you don't get much time to spare
