Ok, so how about I restate it then?

I was accusing him of being a hypocrite and cited evidence from his video.

I, in my previous comment, showed how he was not hypocritical whatsoever. He likes Kabaneri because it was fucking cool, badass, had amazing character designs, and beautifully composed music.

He has a strong disliking of GATE, he thinks it has: a bad opening, bad directing, bad pacing, poor characterization, bad editing, poor execution of the premise, an incomprehensible tone, and jarring CG. None of which (with maybe one exception for the premise, that's up for debate) are problems that occur within Kabaneri.

You quoted him as a sort of implication that GATE had some sort of intent that he missed, but regardless of what kind of story GATE wanted to tell, that doesn't excuse bad directing, bad animation, bad pacing, among other things.

And even if GATE's one intention was "be cool and have badass animation moments", then it still failed, because GATE has rubbish animation and a lack of cool moments.

Is that a more suitable response, or are you just going to avoid giving a real response again?
