(Spoilers Main) A Little Bronn Appreciation

Bronn could be used to explain the process in how mortal men get involved with semi-magical women - this is all over the ASOIAF story - he would be a good vehicle to use in explaining that

Lyanna Stark was at minimum a warg, perhaps more. From the interview of the Davos actor in another thread we see how a new character named Lyanna Mormont is being introduced this season

This new Lyanna Mormont character apparently has prophetic visions - she's magical - like Lyanna Stark was. So now I wonder now if Lyanna didn't become a Green Priestess (something we have not seen before) after her death and moved to the North to be nearer Jon's eventual home in Winterfell (and the Wall) as she knew of his mission in life. This would in a very cool way also put her closer to Mance (her lover Rhaegar).

From a tv viewer perspective things have to be explained in an obvious manner, Lyanna Mormont seems to be too obvious as a reference to Lyanna Stark - and in the show she could have been in hiding with the Mormonts- a family 'very loyal to the Northern Stark' family - So Jeor Mormont knew a lot more than he let on - and he was probably both a guardian of sorts for Jon and totally afraid of Jon's power potential as he knew what Jon was - the Prince that was Promised - but Joer wasn't sure about the situation - just as Ned wasn't sure about Jon's eventual development - I suspect Joer and Ned (and Benjen) conspired to see how Jon grows - part of Benjen's need to be at the Wall was just in case he needed to kill Jon Snow if in case Jon ended up evil aligned - I know this is foily, haha, but it's within the realm of possibilities

The show takes creative shortcuts and makes character consolidations - as unlike GRRM there is no 3-step reveal process - to keep tv viewer attention and interest buzz must constantly be created and unresolved questions must be resolved without significant delay. This is why there is no Riddle of the Sphinx in the show to answer these questions - it's too complex of a topic for tv viewers to comprehend - the Riddle o the Sphinx is the true reveal of parentage in the books
