[SPOILERS] MEGATHREAD: The 13th Doctor is....

How do you know that it's forced? We literally haven't seen her in an episode yet. She could be a great Doctor. You can't just say that there are "definitely better actors out there and there's no other reason to pick her than she's a woman" when you haven't seen her as the doctor at all. The fact that youre saying "there are many options that could have stuck with tradition and been fine" honestly just suggest that you don't want the Doctor to be a woman at all because it's always been a man. And honestly I don't think it's smart to limit the role to white men when

A.) There are female and non-white actors that could fill the role perfectly well and we deprive them of that chance to evolve the character by just saying that the Doctor "should be white and male because that's the way it's always been"

B.) From a story perspective, isn't it weird that this one Time Lord has been a white man every single time he's regenerated?

I kind of get your concerns, but it's entirely unfair to cry that this is pandering and forced diversity on the sole grounds that the actor is a woman.
