Starbucks mobile app claims a 30 min wait. Employees claim a 2+ hour wait. Manager says corporate wont shut down mobile orders.

From my experience in restaurants and in sales with lead times it is ALWAYS better to overestimate your wait. Especially with food bc hungry people be cranky.

I’ve also always viewed claiming something will be faster than it is to be very dishonest and it really fucks with peoples day. Like I have a 30 min lunch break. If I order food that says it will be ready at a certain time and I show up to it not being ready I’m fucked. Like I need a refund bc I can’t wait and now the restaurant is fucked too bc they probably will still have to prepare the order. There needs to be a huge class action suit or something bc these apps functioning the way they do is a huge problem. And I have to assume Starbucks is already getting fucked by visa & friends from chargebacks. If I ordered/paid for coffee (I don’t, at least not SB) and I showed up to an hour plus wait I’d cancel at least. If it’s like McDonald’s they don’t let you cancel, so you just have to do a chargeback/block the upcoming transaction
