States moving forward with reopening are seeing increases in new coronavirus cases

You’re not wrong. I think even if you’re in an area with no cases, things have to open with care and masks need to be given out and enforced. There has to be an in-between lockdown and free for all though. I also think the NYC area’s attitude towards this is vastly different from elsewhere since it’s nearly apocalyptic and the virus’s effects have been concentrated there more than anywhere else. I don’t think opening things up where you are is a good idea at all since that is the one area where consumer confidence is completely gone but a proper phased reopening of some non-essentials would probably work in areas with low case numbers like Utah. People are not going to stay inside their homes for 2 years for something that hardly effects their area.
