[Stefan Bondy] Jerry West on critics of LeBron's Finals record: "That's the most ridiculous thing. If I were him, I'd want to strangle you guys."

Remember all those terrible Bulls years where his team was knocked out in the first round?

Wow, are Cavs fans this delusional? I've seen the "well Jordan wasn't that good on defense, so Lebron is actually better" argument, but this is either pure ignorance or a refusal to accept reality. Yeah, it's true, even while Jordan was doing things like breaking the record for points in a playoff game, or becoming the first player to reach 200 steals and 100 blocks in one season, his team struggled.

But once things lit up for the Jordan-led Bulls, it didn't stop. He won three championships in a row, then left the NBA. He came back near the end of the 1994-1995 season and didn't win a championship that year -- OK, you can have that. But in his first full season back, the Bulls won a championship again the start another run at winning three in a row.

Another way to put it is that after his first six seasons in the NBA, Michael Jordan won a championship during his next six full seasons in the NBA, a record of 6-6 (6-7 if you count his partial season) measured in championships. He then retired for a second time, before returning in the 2000s for the Wizards (we all know how that went).

Lebron has won 2 in 12 seasons (not including this year, obviously), and won his first in his ninth season, and your response is going to be "oh yeah? Remember Michael Jordan's first six years when he didn't win championships?" Dude, don't bother; Jordan's career looks far better than Lebron's, especially when you consider that the East wasn't free back then (which negates your whole point about losing before the Finals anyway).
