Straight people, how do you react when you're hit on by the same sex?

Compliments on an outfit or a good hair day are honestly the best from a gay dude, they make my day. You can just absorb it all and get the full ego boost. My brain doesn't really process it as a sexual advance, so it feels genuine. It's even a rung above the random rare cat call from a lady where you know there's no intention of interaction beyond the compliment. I'm usually flattered by those as they're rare, but 5% of my brain is just thinking "hey I'm not just a piece of meat...". Other 95% digs the novelty though.

When a woman gives the compliment in conversation your head goes straight into whats her intentions/checking her out mode, you miss the full compliment and go straight to the intrigue game. Can't get as much out of it unless the attraction has been established or your relationship is clearly platonic.

Other straight dudes say hey nice shirt, and they're just thinking hey I'd like that shirt. Or hey nice haircut I need somewhere to get my hair cut where do you go, they're alright but it's not as much of a boost.

Had an old gay dude squeeze my dick after my girlfriend and I were out closing a bar. We had a habit of randomly sitting with older townies, and he was there with a friend. Same gay dude kept trying to kiss a buddies cheek who was out with us too. Laughed my ass off at first because holy shit what just happened, took me like 30 minutes to think, uhh was I violated? Everyone was plastered and I'm not one to get bent out of shape about small stuff so whatever. Only uhhhh "compliment" I've had from a gay dude that didn't go well. Felt more bad for him as it was cold out on the patio bar and I was turtle headin a bit, feel like it let him down. I'm tall so gay dudes have asked girlfriends dong questions several times, it's nice keeping the social illusion that I'm packing extra heat for the curious men and women out there.
