Strategic Voting in the October 2019 election

In my opinion, we need to do things completely different, like NZ focusing on quality of life over GDP. I voted for JT and the Liberals last time, but I am unhappy with their growth and globalist prospective. I can not see how Liberals will save the environment at all.

An effective Carbon tax need three things to be effective:

  1. High cost to change behaviour
  2. Revenue neutral, rebating basic expenditures
  3. Carbon levy on foreign products so that global corporations don't just export their carbon (and jobs).

Haven't heard anything about the third point, except from Greens.

Economically, raising GDP through deficit spending and increased immigration, raising inflation while per capita GDP remains flat seems like a horrible way to go forward, unless you are a large corporation demanding low labour costs and an expanded consumer base.
