Is this sub losing its shine?

Part of the problem I've been noticing is the give and take. More people seem to come here, dump their script for review,

I've given up giving any critiques or reads unless it's something very interesting. Most people here and I'm sincere: Are losers and film students that "dump" some ideas on the community.

There's a desire for validation and affirmation and most don't care what someone else has written.

FUN FACT: MOST OF THESE PEOPLE HAVE 1 Karma point or less and some have NEGATIVE comment karma, and then ask for feedback on a 50-150 page document.

To be fair, there are real writers here, and they have helped me, but I don't talk to him here publicly. I "pm" them if I have something important to ask or need feedback on a script.

To those lurkers who read this: If you want a real career and to improve as a writer: Don't use reddit. Use a place where you're forced to have a real profile like FB. People will be interested in helping you if they know who you are.

I only use reddit because there are a few good people I like that are here and I use them from time to time to get notes. All the best.
