Success and disappointment megathread for the week of (January 14)

Quit a job around two months ago. The only job I've ever cared about. For good reason, I'm satisfied with my decision. However, the office misunderstood the circumstances of my departure and actively shut me out. It took weeks for me to piece together what happened, and another month to decide to explain things to them. I sent a physical letter, an email plus a phone call. Dead silence.

It bothers the hell out of me. I can't stop thinking about it. My attempt to contact them was super embarrassing and it would be easy to misunderstand as me trying to get my old job back when really, I just care about the people that work there and what they think of me. They either think I'm lying, don't care, or both. I want to move on from this, but am having a real hard time trying.
