This is about control.

"Coat hangers" are the very least of our problems right now. We are two years away from forced marriages, illegal contraception, corporal punishment for women in marriages . . . Literal Handmaid's Tale stuff.

And it should be noted that everything in the Handmaid's Tale is based on things that happened in real life.

We're not allowed to "advocate for" or "glorify violence" here. We are only allowed to suffer violence.
