I personally would recommend to try infused avc as a "cold rinse" ( pour & leave in) as last step of your shampooing & conditioning routine instead of using it as a shampoo.
Look at your organic cosmetics/whole foods store for pure lavender-infused avc. That one smells nothing like vinegar, but very herbal and is much darker.
If you can't find it in your region, you can make it yourself :
A good 500 grams of dried organic lavender buds
3 litres organic non coloured AVC
(maybe some fresh rosemay twigs and organig rose petals, not necessary though)
A big glass container
Pour the avc over the lavender buds/herbs and let it rest for around 3 weeks, then strain it and store in bottle, dark and dry place. It's ready if it's of dark colour and smells very herbally.
It`really great for (especially) long hair to keep it super-soft, shiny and free of any residues after conditioning it. I use lavender avc rinse every time I s&c my hair and when it's dry there are no knots and brushing through is so easy:)
Be careful if you have very bleached hair!
But you must dillute the avc or you'll smell like a vinaigrette bowl anyway;)
At best with destilled water, 1:5 or 1:4. The herbally-lavendry scent won't last in your hair for more than a hour or so.
