Why is it so hard to get a job now a days compared to back then when applications were in person I stead of online?

I’m not disagreeing that it’s hard getting by. Working multiple jobs does suck. My point is that there’s at least multiple jobs for people to even work in. Is it ideal? No, not at all.

But in a truly shitty job market - there’s no jobs. Not in retail, not pushing grocery carts, not as a painter…not as a door dash driver.

There is a day coming where ‘I’ll just go doordash’ isn’t going to be a thing. Because everyone’s unemployed (exaggerating here - but that’s how it feels) and they’ve all got the same idea. Except no one’s buying any expensive delivery food.

We’ve had it good, even if it feels terrible. Anyone early 30s and younger haven’t lived through an actual terrible job market.
