Sysadmin, turned DevOps engineer...trying to implement TDD (Test Drive Development), and getting a lot of resistance, i can't understand why. Can anyone help provide insight?

i'm absolutely here to offer honey, i'm sorry if you've interpreted the situation differently. i'm being asked to come in by recommendation of the architect and principle engineer for this team, and many other outside referrals too, to help solve some problems.

also, i'm totally just an outsider who read a book and has no idea what they're talking about, i'm just offering boilerplate, industry standard patterns and practices for the team to embrace and iterate with.

i tell people "my job is to build a safe and reliable road with proper guard rails on it so that the team can build whatever type of car they want and drive as fast as they want". that's my purpose here.
