Taiwan tells start-ups to shun mainland China and go to Japan instead, amid supply-chain decoupling

I am not sure how wise it is to move to Japan.

Remember, Japan is going through a demographic crisis, and their labour costs are rather high too. One of the many, many south east Asian countries, or south Asian countries could be a better bet. Vietnam and India in particular, are emerging as great Manufacturing destinations. Sure there are some issues like infrastructure, but they will most likely he resolved in the near future. India is building a whole lot of infrastructure, and GOI is also providing lucrative tax cuts and incentives.

The more Indian and Tiawanese supply chains are interlinked, the more India supports Tiawan against China geopolitically.
