Teenagers of Reddit, what questions do you have about being an adult?

You know that douche who had to clean up a spilled slurpee at the convenience store? He's probably on reddit right now. I've been that douche while a drunk guy kept spouting and I kept cleaning. Did I call him a prick? No. Did I think he was one? Sure as hell I did, but my dumb ass was not paid to have an opinion towards that asshat, fuckwit, douchenozzle. Remember that if that's all you take from this diatribe. You are never paid for you opinion, you are only paid for what you do at your job, and especially remember that before you post to any of your social media crap because it can get your ass canned in seconds.

Everyone can be brilliant, anyone can be a moron, either way you'll never know who is what unless you hear what they have to say. Some of the best off-the-cuff philosophical conversations I've had were behind a register while my philosophy classes were scribbling during a mumbled lecture by a teacher who couldn't get a word out of his mouth. He was literally autistic, it's not an insult to the guy, he was very smart and beyond my thinking when it came to what he was teaching, just he was not wired like most people are and a few times it did frustrate me, but now I realize that was not something to hold against him because he did better with what he had than I've ever done with what I do.

Do not underestimate your other, but also do not overestimate your other, do your best to speak in the most colloquial way you can for each situation you encounter and simply engage another in the way the situation seems fit.

The next thing you'll know, genius could come out of the dumbest looking person and the girl with those amazing boobs may think you're an idiot while she spouts something insane, but at least you'll know where people stand and how big a bullet you dodged while you try not to seem smarter or dumber than anyone else in the room.

Comparing yourself to anyone else will never work out in your favor, just try to gauge the terrain and if you bring up a meme, you'll probably find your own Scumbag Steve, AdviceAnimal, or Aliens Guy. Let others do the talking and you can become one of a new group by just listening but not contradicting, showing favoritism, or opinion.

It is possible to have a personality without being pushy about it, the tropes you see in TV and movies are just tropes while most people are understanding and chill.
