Tennessee Senator calls for removal of higher education

A shame that for every one dollar spent on education at universities, an average of $20 gets spent on other bullshit like HR departments, PR campaigns, social signaling, etc.

It's almost like HR departments, advertising campaigns, and image building are important to businesses.

You could strip 90% of the US’s college spending on the spot without reducing the available education by a single bit.

You're making extremely wild claims without any sort of evidence. Administrative costs are pretty absurd, but this claim is equally so.

If you think education is important, then you agree universities are doing a terrible fucking job at it currently.

I do think education is important. Universities aren't doing a terrible job in the education department, though. There's always room for improvement, and other facets of university aren't great, though, sure.
