Regardless of if it’s legal now, Michael Thompson still committed a felony knowing what the consequences were back when he was sentenced. It’s the concept of principal. If he had 3 LBS of weed today no one would bat an eye. And how can you say that other races (including Caucasian) aren’t In prison right now for the exact same thing? There’s no way to prove that. Not a skin color issue at this point.

Bottom line, stop posting dumb comparisons like these to stir up drama. I’m tired of people going out of their way to find a connection of racism between two cases that are 25 years apart. As a gay man I’m going to say something that I live by: Stop looking for the problems. Just be, because they’re always going to be there and no amount of protest will completely irradiate it. Live peacefully knowing that the sane people that actually matter love you for you regardless of what you look like.
