There’s so many things that can influence a Generation. Pop Culture by far, but what about other things like a major weather event?

i think natural disasters are very much underestimated by how much they can influence a generation of people depending on how severe it is

One natural disaster that I can remember in particular was the japanese tohoku earthquake and tsunami in 2011. it was a magnitude 9.1 that was followed by 100+ foot tall tsunamis. I remember when my teacher was talking about it with my class and later on that day how my sister practically had a field trip cancelled because of the fear mongering how the tsunamis could’ve potentially hit our coast but needless to say thankfully that did not happen. it may not have really affected anyone outside my area but it definitely was something that affected me and my peers at the time.
