Maybe they took flak not because they didn't intervene, but because they approved the licenses?

And because I remembered the name I decided to look for past news articles about this place, and surprise, surprise, the sale was approved by the Liberals.

And this is exactly what was pointed out by critics before the sale was approved, but because the LPC has a hard time saying no to China it was approved.
