My dad’s wife’s daughter is a nurse and believes that ivermectin is the answer. She doesn’t necessarily believe Covid is a hoax or that the healthcare system isn’t in trouble, but she refuses the vaccine (for vague reasons - something to do with myocarditis) and feels that the studies surrounding ivermectin’s effect on Covid are being suppressed and we should be using it to cure people. I’m not entirely sure why we should trust a small study out of Slovakia over millions of doses of vaccine worldwide, nor why we should be only aiming to cure instead of prevent, but that’s her argument.

Her husband is more along the lines of “if it doesn’t directly impact me then I really don’t care”, so I’m pretty sure ICUs being full and people dying of preventable disease don’t bother him in the slightest.
