Thousands of people marched in São Paulo to pressure the Brazilian government to do something about the burning Amazon Rainforest

I wish people would stop spreading this misinformation. Fires in brazil overall are only slightly above average yes, but in the amazons specifically paning out to be the worst year this century.

If you click the link provided by nasa in that article you can see that at this point the fires in the amazon are over the highest year ever and they've had an insane increase in the past few days, if nothing is done it will easily dwarf 2005 which would make it the worst this century
