Germany and the other PC- authoritarianism states haven't gotten to this point... yet. Germany is certainly closer than others (see: police raiding citizens homes due to racist Facebook posts). Just because things haven't gone bad yet doesn't mean they won't, and Germany has codified the tools for it to happen into law and acceptable use.

Our media is now owned by billionaires with political agendas. Our political opinions are modified by boolean algorithms on our social media feeds. A man who lost the popular vote by 3 million votes is now our President, and he's pretending that he's defending our rights while wanting to push forward even more regressive tax breaks for the wealthy, when income inequality is already at its greatest since the Great Depression. Corporations are trying very hard to kill the last actual source of unbiased information, the internet, by slicing it up and putting it behind paywalls.

But hey, we can say fuck niggers and can own guns, so we're free, right?
