Not really a dichotomy between feeling and thinking... Although, I understand Chaplin's angle and reasons for using those words, he does sacrifice capturing the definition of the problem for a more prosaic hinting at it's essence.

It's a good speech for certain, a powerful one, but honestly from a purely critical standpoint his Dictator's speech is filled with holes like Swiss cheese. It's the manic philosopher and the idealist, not far off (if he actually is at all) -ironically- from the moralists he derides who are in the business of offering or imposing systems of thinking, but here when we're looking to replace real systems. Their implementation always suffers fatally from more than one exponential NP problem which are inevitably ignored in the pursuit of an agenda, which is tragically overestimate their current philosophy de jure as transcending the NP problems with little side effects to their predicted outcomes. With any manic, ultimately epistemologically bankrupting, charge about establishing practice of one's philosophy it inevitably over exaggerates the wrongs and under emphasizes or outright refuses to acknowledge the goods brought about, but for, the current system let alone the natural functions and solution it offers as a natural result of it's operation and their importance. While offering little functional substance in return, NP problems begin to mount and support begins to wither but what remains is a persistant tragic relationship between the manic philosopher and their willingness to subject their practices, much less philosophy, to falsification even when confronted by the reality.
