TIL Shorter people build higher ceilings inside their buildings in Minecraft while taller people will build lower ceilings. Egocentric Reference Frames cause us to build upon our environments in a way that we are accustomed to seeing them.

Alright, I'm really tired of reading this from people who are average height. You are average. You're on the low end of average, but you are average. You're within one standard deviation, so by normal distribution standards, you are average. Average height for males in the US is 5'9". World-wide it's 5'7". Standard deviation is roughly 2.5"-3". I know this may come across as a bit angry, but I dealt with a lot of bullying for my height, and self-esteem issues because of normal height people like you claiming to be short. I still deal with small amounts of teasing and, on much rarer occasion, discrimination because of my height. You are not short for a guy, you are as average as they come.
