Time lapse of the Chernobyl arch moving into place over the reactor building.

When you argue with someone, you should understand that the intent of the other person is never really malice. A reasonable person reading your comment, which says "I will prove you are dumb," may understand that you are simply trying to educate the other person... but you don't sound well-intentioned. I've glanced through your post history and it seems that you are both educated and hopeful. But you are not respectful. Your discussions are not about trying to learn, you instead take up the position of a professor teaching a student (because I've done my research and they're just ignorant). The thing is, a good teacher is able to appreciate their students' thoughts and are willing to learn from them. If you go into a discussion without being open to understanding why/how someone disagrees with you, there isn't any point in anyone participating.

I know that this probably just looks like I'm talking down to you, but I'm not trying to. This is common decency stuff, and I know you know it. But (and remember, I'm just one voice) you aren't showing it, and not showing it is the same as not doing it.
