It's not that the Bible is contradictory. It's rather that it was written in a different language originally. Different versions were translated in different ways. It's not that there are errors, but rather certain words have different meanings. For example if I said "date" it could mean the day or the fruit. For example, there are many ways to say love in Greek. There is a brotherly love, romantic love, love of parents and children. So back in the day, when writing the KJV they didn't have all the tools back in the day and did their best based on their understanding of the ancient language. Nowadays we have Bible Concordances which allow us to dig deeper into the original meaning. In fact, the Bible is incredibly accurate and there are more manuscripts for the Bible than any other book in the world. In fact when the Dead Sea Scrolls were found they were virtually identical to the Bibles we have now although they had been untouched for millenia.
