Trans people are people whose gender differs from the one that aligns with the sex they were born as. You're right that it's not a choice, because identity isn't a choice. It never has been, and never will be. It's fucking real, as you said! Also, it can be both a neurological condition for some as well as an identity for some people, so upon further thinking I do take that back. But, please do note that the truscum idea that trans isn't an identity only make it harder for trans people to transition.... If it's only seen as a condition to be cured and not an identity that's apart of the whole concept of gender, then they'll make you need a diagnosis, and they can make it as hard as they want to get that diagnosis! They can also just label us all as mentally ill and put us through conversion therapy, which is what they want. They label us as freaks, and they don't think we're real, even if we fit into their gender binaries. They hate that our existence proves that gender is a social performance and not a role that you're stuck with playing for the rest of your life. It throws sexist ideologies out of the window. Being transgender is apart of someones life, and therefore apart of their identity.
