Too many redditors without children on this subreddit clearly don't understand the effects this is having on them.

I'm already getting some PTSD from the last time childcare was closed and agree wholeheartedly. We are living the 'good' scenario. We are both parents working from home (we are genuinely lucky in that regard) with one kid, and it is manageable, but it wears you down (not having any leisure time and lack of sleep). This lockdown we said we are taking our annual leave in turns and making it work, that's us sorted, but we know from last time that our little ones social skills are going to regress and we will rebuild when its time. Empathy, we need more of. I really feel for those families with multiple kids under 5, those that might also be single parent households, and especially those that are finanicially struggling. I admire those who can just make it work without letting it affect the kids, but I can guess how much that stress, and the wear, would really break you down. All this said, I don't think playgrounds should be open, nor kids be in childcare, nor visit their grandparents. I might change my mind in a few weeks. So do be kind everyone.
