That's also how the left treated LGBTQ, until Muslims became a more viable voting block, then suddenly that regressiveness really came out. The left does the same with hispanics, they want them visible when it serves the purpose of criticizing immigration, then ready to throw them under the bus again for anything else that takes priority.

Leftists have become so eager to downvote/criticize/report/<other attempts to censor> anything critical of the left, that it's almost possible to gauge the success of a post by how many SJW/CTR trolls roll out of their safe spaces to attack it.
