You choose to accept all consequences of sex, emotional, std's, pregnancy when you engage in intercourse.

Women can choose not to though. I stated the options they have.

Abortion. Safe havens. Adoption.

That's when the guy can wrap it up and prevent pregnancy.

Condoms and birth control pills can fail even when used together. Rare, but it happens.

On top of that, if a man and woman in a committed relationship decide to forgo condoms and rely solely on birth control pills....I have to ask again, why does the man get no choices?

The one thing that's missing is comprehensive sex education and availability of birth control.

In the US there are certainly some areas of the country that extremely lack proper sex ed.

However, in my area, we were getting in depth sex ed starting in 5th grade. That was in the 90's.

It's unfortunate that other areas of the country aren't on the same page, even now, years later.

As for access to birth control, it's pretty easy. I just think people are misinformed. I guess that relates to sex ed though.

A woman with no insurance can still get a month's worth of BC from a Walmart pharmacy for around $15.

You can get 100 pack of condoms on Amazon for $30.

Even a 15 year old can save up $30, walk to a 7/11 and load that money on a prepaid card to order them.

So access to birth control is pretty easy.

If you're with a partner that might want to keep a kid then every time you decide to have sex with that person you have to acknowledge the possible consequences.

But my point was that only men have to acknowledge the consequence. How is that equality?

I emphasize I would never support a law that states a woman has to carry a child to term because the father wishes it. It is her body. She needs to have that choice and that right.

If that's the case though, why should a man not have the right give up paternal rights and not have to pay to support the child if the woman chooses to keep the child?

Aren't we trying to strive for equality and fairness?
