They trashed their wedding photographer over a $125 fee, so a jury told them to pay her $1 million

Good. Social media is a disease. It wasn't about the $125, it was about spreading a story, playing victim, and getting followers. Selfish desires that heavy online presences encourage. Speaking on the past week of Reddit... whether it's children not believing the earth is round, to some kid posting an older woman's photo and provocative fb message, or this woman trying to destroy a business for some fame; it's all done selfishly and facts are thrown out the window. People just think about themselves and fuck the consequences that accrue for someone else. The children and the globe reference doesn't apply for my argument, but it's just a god damn shame and consequence of social media. But the horny older woman didn't deserve to be publicly humiliated. Nor did this woman deserve to lose her business. A business she built on word of mouth and real life reputation.

There's a different example every week. It's just sad. There's so much great that the internet provides, but socially it's devouring people's perception, moral compass, and altering what we believe as fact.
