Travis Scott's Joining Maroon 5 for Super Bowl 53 Halftime Show in Atlanta

numbers do not make something right or wrong, or true or false. i know that people disagree with me, thats my point. they are still angry at politicians who are on their side because of binary politics. thats my problem with the protest: the only people negatively affected by it are those in niski, who are overwhelmingly on board with supporting oil, and the politicians targeted by the incredibly classy signs calling for their deaths are those who have approved the pipeline.

look at something like the ‘Battle in Seattle’, a protest that also closed down streets and city activity, though on a much larger scale. the difference is that the Seattle WTO protests were enacted as close the WTO conference as possible, and was actually incredibly effective in not only shutting down the WTO conference in Seattle, but the WTO delegates refuse to meet in NA for fear of militant protest.

this is what a successful blockade protest looks like; it properly targets and effects the actual problem, while the niski protests target pro-pipeline politicians and adversely effect pro-oil supporters. its just not an effective protest.
