Why is this so true?

But that’s what they have to do. Think about it, 60+ patients a day. That number is insane and unrealistic. I’m currently in medical school and my father is a family doctor. He works 9 hours a day and spends 1-2 hours finalizing patient charts after work every day and on the weekends. He’s the hardest worker I’ve ever known. He would love to spend more time with his patients. But he does his best. His patients love him. He’s frequently given gifts from his patients and I hope to be half the doctor he is someday. I know this isn’t the case for every doc but I honestly believe most would be much better if they weren’t at the mercy of the US healthcare system. I’m giving up all of my 20s in school to become a physician, and I’m a smart dude. I could definitely go into another profession and have a comfortable living, but I chose medicine. I honestly want to help people, as do most of my colleagues. Please have patience with your docs, and if applicable with your NPs and PAs. This is a very difficult profession and like most humans and careers, we’re just doing our best.
