The Trump Administration Is Keeping a U.S. Citizen Secretly Locked Up Without Charges

Not a counterpoint or a nustification, but I'll tell you how many of us in the center-left feel. We feel that if someone we trust - Obama - went after someone, we'd stand behind that. We felt that way about the drone strikes and most of us felt that way about Snowden, who we did not like very much. We're human beings like evergone else and we felt that when state enemies of the Obama administration went away, it was good. Frankly, I would have been happy to see the governmwnt really bear down on civil unrest under Obama. I'd have been delighted to see the Tea Party agitators jailed. I'd have loved to see Assange droned.

Now we don't trust Trump for obvious reasons, and the more paranoid among us are aftraid of becoming state enemies ourselves.

Yes, this is hypocracy, but I embrace it. I want my side in charge. I want my kind side in power and I want my side to vanguish the other sode and whoever else it needs to. I don't really care that it's stupid, and I don't really give a damn about maintaining any kind of principles.
