The second you start or feed any red vs blue garbage, like you have just done, you become the problem. You are the problem and anyone like you who voted Republican is also going to be unprouctive at resolving any issues. This is not red vs blue, this is all about red and blue working together to create a safe place where people from all backgrounds have a chance to live a happy healthy life and with three hundred million people, that will likely mean comprimise.

Intelligent discussion with someone from the other side starts with you. I personally have plenty of productive discussions with democrats, and I end up shaking hands at the end and usually have a new acquaintance. If every discussion you get into goes south or turns negative, you should take [an unbiased look] at your conversating habits.

I think all this red vs blue is crazy, I like someone for who they are. If I find out they are Democrat, I like them the same. There are genuinely good people on both sides, and I think you are one of them.
