Trump's sham Election Commission wants to operate in the dark, but we're suing to drag it into the sunlight

I have read up on this some. I think our understanding is at odds here. Voter registration data is in fact public information. The state in which I live gave registration data to this commission. When I talked to my state's reps (local not national, I work in the same building as they do) I was told the following:

Voter registration data was given over, so they know if you're registered.

They also asked for voting history back to 2006, or as long as the state had records as to my voting activity. I was told this data includes 1. When I voted 2. What I voted on 3. How I cast my vote.

I will leave room for the fact that this was word of mouth from a state senator, not my rep in Washington. However, the fact that this person is an outspoken Republican, who told me during the course of this conversation that the level of information requested caused them concern doesn't help me keep calm about it.

Bottom line for me: I live in work in a predominantly protestant Christian Republican Rust Belt area. I'm not welcome in the local bars because these people don't trust anyone with a degree. I know damn well that the average mid-western Trump supporter would have no problem whatsoever if someone came in the night and rounded my family up... So fuck Trump or any of his lackeys asking about how I voted, or really anything about me, they don't fucking need to know.

In parting I would like to ask: Have you not thought about the fact that Trump lost the popular vote by a large margin? Have you ever read Trump's books? In case you haven't, you should. Much of the theme is along the lines of there being no morality, winning is winning and you do anything, absolutely anything, to win. You don't find it interesting that we now have proof his campaign colluded with Russia to affect the last election, and Trump's people are now looking for voting data? Do you actually buy the idea that a bunch of illegal immigrants voted? That any fraud took place? Is there actually any evidence of that?
