Tuchel and Dortmund part ways [link in german]

It's not about tactical nous.

Think of it this way. Arsenal have the most successful manager in their history faltering with its fan base due to tactics. Let's remove the fact that Wenger just got a two year extension and pretend that we are in a situation where Arsenal are unsure if he is going to stay and might need to line up a replacement.

Ok, so now you have to look at this from the board's perspective. What does the board want? What does Kroenke want? They want long term stability. As a fan, yes, what we as fans want is a winning side that can compete for trophies year in and year out. But the board needs to align that with long term stability. Tuchel is not the man to do that. Not even in the interim of say two to three years.

I recognize that the era of decade long managers is over, but you still want some sort of long term continuity if personnel and players.

Based on everything you hear about Tuchel, him possibly exhibiting NPD, him being a douche, and him constantly burning bridges wherever he goes, e.g., Mainz and now Dortmund, I would gladly pass on hiring Tuchel now and certainly starting an era of turmoil at Arsenal.

The way I see it, I'm going to be a fan of Arsenal much longer than Tuchel will be manager of Arsenal, and I have no desire to see the club end up like the aftermath of Dortmund and Mainz.

So, despite the downvotes from all the Germans. Tuchel? No thanks.
