Tv shows that portray addiction the best?

i really need to watch The Wire again. The first time was so amazing. and I was a blazing addict at the time. Owned a nice house on Broadway, had runners gettin' me shit all the time. (Perkins) It was crazy. I was white, had a job and was a homeowner.... when my street friends, runners, etc would get in trouble or 5-0 would come sniffin' around- i could always hold it down. Had a "Homeless Happy Hour" in my backyard every Friday. but then, suddenly- when i got high- I started lisping, or trailing my speech. I SOUNDED high. I realized I couldn't hold it down talkin to police anymore. Never got arrested, raided, or anything- but I knew it was coming to an end. They had a substation next to my place in the final months. Those boys from the gun task force had whores runnin up in there all night. It just got too crazy. I decided to sell the house before it all went up in smoke and get outta dodge. My main runner and only (truly) trusted one was "The Car Doctor".. and he is STILL my friend to this day, (25? years later?).. Just sent him a carton of smokes from the Rez ($9) which made his holiday season! I'll never forget my time in BMore.. just had to get to somewhere a little slower and safer. The WIRE. hands down The Addicts PlayBook. and yeah- I crave that shit ALL THE TIME. Would probably blast an 8 Ball NOW, if it wasn't for the fetanyl, and you know...havin' a J-O-B where i gotta piss in a cup... Go Ravens. Hail Omar! Peace.
